The Origin of Ekahi – What Colour is Your Wave?
A few years ago when I started blogging, I wrote extensively about waves and in particular electromagnetic radiation. As I am now nearing the release of the Ekahi Method book it seems a good time to re-visit the subject of waves, after all, the Ekahi Method is about the effect of waves on our relationships and health. The Ekahi Method began as a quest to understand whether there were scientific explanations to some observations I had made about the relationships in my life. Over the nearly two decades as a practicing physical therapist I started to notice that I really resonated with some of my patients and others did not seem to be on the same wavelength as me. We use these wave words like “resonance” and “wavelength” all the time when describing our relationships with people and I also began to wonder whether these words may have some scientific basis.
My hypothesis was that when people of similar base frequencies come in close proximity they will feel and describe resonance. I based this hypothesis on a priori knowledge that all all living and non-living things emitted some waves, whether they be in the form of infrared radiation (heat) or extremely low frequency radiation from the nervous system – particularly the brain and the heart. In order to test the hypothesis, I needed a way to quantify and classify a person’s base frequency. After years of development, testing, and refining, I came up with the Frequency Profile. The Frequency Profile uses two objective measurements: heart rate and breathing rate and when combined with seven questions relating primarily to energy production, a person is classified into RED, YELLOW, GREEN, BLUE, or VIOLET.
Once the Frequency Profile was refined I could test for resonance by merely randomly bringing people together of similar base frequencies and seeing if they reported feeling “energized, drained, or neutral.” The results supported the original hypothesis and proved that when people of similar base frequencies are in close proximity, they feel energized, likely due to resonance. You might ask, “How can this happen?” There is something in physics called Constructive Interference and Destructive Interference. When two wave lengths of similar frequencies come together, they will summate or add together to make a bigger wave. This is in fact what happens when an opera singer hits a note that is of the same frequency as the crystal in a glass – the waves summate and shatter the glass. Conversely, when two waves of opposite frequencies come together, they flatten, this is called Destructive Interference. The two images below help to explain clarify what happens with the waves between people.
What does this mean for our relationships? First of all it tells us that when we are around people of similar base frequencies, we will often feel more energized and when we are around people of different base frequencies, we will often feel drained. This of course happens all the time in our day to day lives. We are surrounded by the spectrum of waves of different colours. If you were too spend too long with any one base frequency, it can affect your own base frequency. In the short term, this is not a major problem but in the long term, living outside of your natural base frequency will, I believe, lead to disease. The most important thing a person can do everyday is spend time getting in touch with their own natural base frequency. The best way to do this is meditation.
If you have ever tried to meditate but struggled with getting into a deep meditation, you should start by setting the stage. Find a place where you will be undisturbed for 15 minutes. For many people they find stimulating their senses helpful for assisting with relaxation. The Ekahi Method has developed very specific candles, body sprays, and roll-ons for this purpose. Not only will meditation help you Reset to Base Frequency and make you feel more like yourself but the research demonstrating health benefits of meditation are compelling.
There are five parts to the Ekahi Method: 1) Discover Your Base Frequency, 2) Sense the External Frequencies, 3) Reset to Base Frequency, 4) Frequency Tune for Success, 5) Nourish with Resonant Frequencies.
This week’s blog focused on the first and third part – Discover your Base Frequency and Reset to Base Frequency. If you haven’t already done so, please consider doing the Frequency Profile to learn more about the colour of your wave. Once you know this consider using the custom formulated candles, body sprays, and roll-ons to help you Reset to your Base Frequency during your meditation or when you are out in public and need to immediately remind you of the colour of your wave.
